Course Overview

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in robotics. Students will explore how AI techniques such as machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning are applied to robotic systems to enable autonomy, adaptability, and intelligence. The course blends theoretical concepts with practical applications, using real-world case studies, simulations, and hands-on lab sessions with robotic platforms.

Prerequisites:

  • Basic programming skills (Python preferred)

  • Foundational knowledge of linear algebra, calculus, and probability

  • Introductory knowledge of robotics and AI concepts (recommended but not mandatory)

  • Familiarity with Linux environments (advantageous but not essential)
